Essence…

28 Aug
You are strong…
when you take your grief and teach it to smile.

You are brave…
when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same.

You are happy…
when you see a flower and are thankful for the blessing.

You are loving…
when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.

You are wise…
when you know the limits of your wisdom.

You are true…
when you admit there are times you fool yourself.

You are alive…
when tomorrow’s hope means more to you than yesterday’s mistake.

You are growing…
when you know what you are but not what you will become.

You are free…
when you are in control of yourself f and do not wish to control others.

You are honorable…
when you find your honour is to honour others.

You are generous…
when you can take as sweetly as you can give.

You are humble…
when you do not know how humble you are.

You are thoughtful…
when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are.

You are merciful…
when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.

You are beautiful…
when you don’t need a mirror to tell you.

You are rich…
when you never need more than what you have.

You are you…
when you are at peace with who you are not.

Never forget to have fun along the way. Success means nothing without happiness.

The Alchemy of Love…

13 Jul

Many words and poets have given breath to love.

Many artists have painted its passion and comfort.

Many lips have savoured its taste.

Many arms have embraced it.

LOVE EMBRACES ALL-RUMI

Let us get lost in it together. For we are all thread of the same fabric, intertwined. Each of us bearing a different colour and texture, yet together we create grandeur. Love one another.

Peace be to all 🙂

*special thanks to the Fen and I creations for this exquisite piece

Look Inside Your Heart…

Look Inside Your Heart

Thousands of years ago, when God was creating life, he asked the angels,

“Where on Earth should I put love? It’s so precious I want to put it someplace safe.”

The angels thought for a while and one said,

“Put it in the food. Surely the humans will find it and cherish it.”

Another angel suggested,

“Put it in the ground. Every time they walk they will feel it.”

A third offered.

“Put it in the sky. That way it will be everywhere.”

Finally God said,

“I know – I’ll put it in their hearts. Right inside of them. It will be safe there,
but it will be the last place they look.”

Imagine…

21 Jun

I have always carried a deep admiration for John Lennon in my heart. I feel that he was way ahead of his time both as an artist as well as a visionary. Here are my top 10 Favourite John Lennon quotes:

“We’ve got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it’s going to get on by itself. You’ve got to keep watering it. You’ve got to really look after it and nurture it.”

“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”

“Will the people in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And the rest of you, if you’ll just rattle your jewelry.”

“Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.”

“The more I see the less I know for sure.”

“My role in society, or any artist’s or poet’s role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all.

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”

“Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.”

“Avant-garde is French for bullshit”.

And last but not least:

 “Imagine there’s no countries
  It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
  And no religion too
  Imagine all the people
  Living life in peace

You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only oneI hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one”

Believe 101…

15 Jun

I believe That we don’t have to change friends, if we understand that friends change.

I believe- That no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and, you must forgive them for that.

I believe-That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe- That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe- That it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe- That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe- That you can keep going long after you can’t.

I believe- That we are responsible for what  we do, no matter how we feel.
I believe- That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe-That regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I believe- That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe- That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe- That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I believe- That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe-That sometimes when I’m angry, I have the right to be angry, but I don’t have the right to be cruel.

I believe-That just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I believe- That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

I believe- That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe- That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

I believe- That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I believe- That just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other, and just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

I believe- That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you.

I believe- That the people you care about most in life are the essence of life. Tell them today how much you love them and what they mean to you.

I believe- That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you – you will find the strength
to help.

I believe- That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe- That you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe- That two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

and lead us not into temptation…

Always fascinated with closed societies, today we take a deep look into a group of people who are so simple and yet so enigmatic. One thing is certain, whether open or closed there are no groups, societies, microcosms, religions without rebels. It’s human nature after all. That’s the best part of it all; regardless of how much a society, or group tries to tame a restless spirit, it will always find a way to shed that which feels unnatural. Enjoy.

Today’s BBC documentary; travels with two such rebels within the Amish world as they struggle with scripture and elder traditions.

Indigo is the colour of hope…

4 Jun

INDIGO EVOLUTION is a feature-length documentary by James Twyman, this exquisite documentary, was released January 28, 2006 in more than 350 churches and wellness and spiritual centers around the world. The attendance far exceeded expectations, demonstrating how interest in understanding the “Indigo phenomenon” has grown. Indigo Evolution illuminates the lives of children who are referred to as “INDIGOS”. The movie describes them as creative, eccentric and independent. Impatient with the status quo, these children possess a high degree of integrity and intuition. Many are both intelligent and gifted, often in the areas of art and technology, and some are said to bring healing gifts.

I extend my sincerest congratulations to the makers of this documentary. It is a true blessing to share this with others. It is an even bigger comfort to know that there are Indigo children that will eventually grow into Indigo adults, to carry humanity forth.
