I was blessed in this life to grow up and spend endless hours with my maternal grandmother. Panagoula Papoulidis, grew up in a small village outside of Corinth ,Greece. For her there was no school, each morning her father propped her onto a straw basket called a “kofini,” and along with her brothers and sisters she worked relentlessly in the family tobacco fields.
The only formal education she had received was learning the alphabet. Despite this, she was one of the wisest women that I have been blessed with in this life. She spoke in proverbs and parables, they were her compass leading her through life.
“Perform an act of kindness and set it on a lily pad in the river, and the ocean will bring it back to you in abundance.”
This was the way that my magical grandmother interperted “KARMA”.
